Many evangelicals in the Anglican Church of Australia now support it. But some remain opposed because certain New Testament texts seem to deny women the right to preach or lead a congregation. A conference called by the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (Australia) brought into dialogue theologians of opposing convictions on the issue.

This book makes the dialogue public in the interests of aiding the Church in its pursuit of truth.
