Bird - Young Adult Literary Fiction

The novel follows two intertwined stories of a 14-year-old girl named Bird: one in a Himalayan village in an unspecified past, where she flees an arranged marriage; the other in present-day Darwin, where she awakens in a hospital with a bullet wound and fragmented memories. As she pieces together her past life, she begins to realize she may be reincarnated and that the patterns of her previous life may continue unless she breaks them.
